Hollywood Studios

Saturday morning we had breakfast at Hollywood Studios with Special Agent Oso, Handy Manny, Jane from Little Einsteins, and Jake from Jake and the Neverland Pirates. Porter wasn't very sure about Jane, took a while to warm up to Agent Oso, wouldn't get near Handy Manny, and was super excited to see Jake.  Range of emotions a breakfast...

After breakfast we saw the Disney Junior show (more to come in next post).

Toy Story Mania!!!!  My all time favorite ride at Disney.  Porter did super this time--sat in his own seat, wore his glasses and played some serious toy story carnial games.

Played so hard his glasses were crooked when we finished!!

More Not So Scary....

I guess I did take a few pictures with my camera, and here they are...

The not so scary Halloween party 2012

This is one of my favorite things to do at Disney. We have been lucky enough to go the last 3 years in a row and I would love to do it more. It rained on us this year, so I didn't take any pics with my camera--just my phone. And we didn't get a good pic of our costumes either. Porter was a firefighter, Hollice was a Dalmatian, and Ciji and I were fire. There are no pics of us in our costumes!! I was kinda upset that we didn't make it happen somehow. The only pic I have is porter sitting on my shoulders to watch the parade and you could see our tulle "fire" headgear.

Here are the other pics I got.

Fireworks pics....
I have taken pics of the fireworks all three years, but these definitely turned out the best. These iPhones keep getting better and better.

Disneyworld 2012--Not So Scary Halloween Party #3!!!

Thursday afternoon Porter and I left for disneyworld with a friend and her little boy--Ciji and Hollice.  This was their first Disney trip and we were happy to have the company, since Daddy is in school and couldn't go with us this time.  This was a short little trip so we had to pack in a lot in 3 days.  We were able to make it to the Not So Scary Halloween Party for the 3rd year in a row!  It did rain on us that night, but that was the only rain of the trip and we made the best of it.  We stayed out waaaaay past our bedtime, but so worth it!! Such a fun trip.  Here are some pics.  (I'll probably have to do multiple posts to get all the good ones in....)
The new Dumbo.....  Playground in the waiting area.  We didn't have to wait, but Porter wanted to play anyway.

Hollice and Ciji right before their first disney ride!  Dumbo!
Porter was not excited about having his picture taken for most of the trip.....
"The horses...."
Ciji and Hollice at Mickey's Philharmagic...
 The Tea cups....

Tomorrowland speedway (my least favorite ride).
Ciji's birthday was Friday, so we had a little cake during nap time to celebrate...

9 months old!!

Stella turned 9 months old last Wednesday. She went to the dr on Thursday. She is 29 1/2" and 17lb 15oz.

This morning I got a quick peek at her new top tooth!! It's not all the way in yet, but she terrorized my parents with it this weekend while porter and I were at disneyworld.
This little girl is wild and can be a little snake. She will let you know very quickly if there is something she doesn't like. She sleeps pretty good as long as she isn't sick or teething and it seems like she has been either/or for the last month!! She is in very few 9 month clothes and mostly wearing 12-18 month size. She has just started wearing shoes on a regular basis since it has been chilly in the mornings. She eats pretty well and likes table food. She LOVES our blue dog and thinks her brother's toys are the best. Porter is perfecting "throwing bows" these days to protect his territory. We are a very active household to say the least....

Now to get the blog back up and running

Window unit #1....

The a/c has been giving us fits for a mont now. Since the lightning strike. I have resorted to window units for the remainder of the weekend to keep us comfortable and keep my sanity. Now that I have cooled off enough to think, I decided to renew my efforts at blogging from my phone. When my phone died recently my blogging software wouldn't work. Now I have "fiddled" with it this morning, and this is my attempt to see if it works.

No updates...

I (Jared) have been studying all day... Tara has been fighting the real battle, no A/C and 2 small kids. I'm very lucky to have her as my wife. I've caused a little grief at times, but my great looks and intelligence make up for it... right, babe?

I can say one thing about anesthesia school, and I'll quote a dear friend who also made the choice to do this for a living. "This ain't no joke!" I concur with that statement. You can have a ton of clinical experience, but it doesn't matter. You are now learning things that keep people alive... full agonist, partial agonist, noncompeting antagonist... and the genetics that dictate whether or not a drug will give the desired effect, or if the cimetidine you bought over the counter is going to interfere with the anesthesia plan I wanted to follow.... We study @ 10-12 hours a day, everyday.

Tara and Porter came to see me on Labor Day weekend. I had a great time, I think they did too. We went to the Fort Worth Zoo, and a lot of places to eat. Porter and I played a lot... I was usually the tiger and he was the hunter. Needless to say, I was pretend killed a lot. I can't wait to be home, even if its for long weekend.
