I'm at the doctor's office
The daycare called about lunch today and said Porter had a low grade fever and had drainage from his left ear. Jared picked him up and he took a long nap this afternoon and now we are at the doctor. You can't tell he doesn't feel well from these pictures.

Pee Pee!
This isn't the first time he's been caught on camera while peeing. (Refer to Vicki Popwell's newborn session.)
11 months old!
The first few months seemed to drag by, and the middle months seemed regular pace, but the last couple of months have been warp speed--I can't believe Porter will be one year old in just a month. He has changed a lot in just a few weeks. I was looking at some pictures from the first football game as I was getting all my pictures loaded so I could post, and I couldn't believe how much he's changed since then. And he has got to be going through a growth spurt. He is drinking us out of house and home. We cannot keep up with his formula habit. I feel like all we do is mix up bottles right now. He still won't drink milk out of a sippy though. He will take a sip, and then let it run back out his mouth. Thank God we have the daycare to help us on this. I think we're all going to feel it whenever we try to make a serious effort to kick the bottle. Anyway, at 11 months......
Porter's favorite food is diced peaches.
His favorite tv show is Jack's Big Music Show.
His favorite movie is The Wiggles.
His favorite activity is bathtime.
His favorite word is ga-ga. (Still no ma ma :( )
His favorite toy is his Mickey Mouse Clubhouse airplane and the shapes that go with it.
He claps his hands when you say "Yea Porter!", makes indian noises with his hand and his mouth, feeds himself well, is trying to stand up alone, climbs up and down the stairs easily, and gives big slobbery open mouth kisses. He is also trying to copy the number of syllables we say, but not at all getting the correct sounds that go with it.
He has 4 teeth, and is still teething--2 more to go! And he is finally sleeping all night again!!!

My day off
Today I got off work about 6:30am and went to pick up Porter at Jared's parent's house. He spent he night with them last night. I got about 4 hours of sleep last night, so I felt relatively well-rested compared to how I normally feel when I get home from a 24 hr shift. We played this morning, and Porter and I took a nap about 9:00am. I was starting to crash about 8:30, and was looking forward to naptime.
After lunch we went to publix for our weekly formula. I will be so glad when we can switch to milk. We have about a $45 - 50 a week formula bill right now. I have just gotten into couponing, so that's why we went to publix--they have weekly buy 1 get 1 free deals and they have extra coupons up front. I had sandwich meat and bread on my list an one of the in-store coupons was for a free loaf of bread if you bought a package if sandwich meat. For not really being prepared and just starting out I did pretty good---our total was $74 and I saved $31 between my coupons and the b1g1 free stuff. That's pretty good considering $40 of my total was formula. Without that I would have gotten my groceries for about 1/2 price. I plan to continue this hobby. I found a really good blog that I will post on my links that is really helpful for someone getting into couponing.
We are on our way to la cocina right now for our weekly Mexican, and when I get home I have new pictures to post and I'll update my links with the bargain buggy website.
