Wow! What a nap!

I don't know if it was really good or really bad, but he sure is having a hard time waking up.

And you can also see that the pull-up didn't hold.... We have got to work on our potty skills.

Quick rundown of the week

Busy.
Busy busy busy.
Not complaining at all, but I'm exhausted. I don't even remember Monday, but Tuesday, Wednesday, and today I *worked.* And today started out not busy. Anyway, we are traveling again this weekend. We are going to have a relaxes beach weekend. Like, cook at home, fish off the dock, go to bed early kind of relax. Maybe throw in some potty training in big boy underwear. We'll see how much excitement we want. And I do plan on working out a little since my gym activities were interrupted severely this week. But still not complaining.
Couple quick notices:
1. I changed around a few things on the sidebar. Added a few pictures and websites. Took away a few as well.
2. I am involved in a new blog for a family friend who has recently been put on the liver transplant list at UAB. Website is www.thebennydunnbenefit.blogspot.com.
3. I cut my hair short again. I haven't blogged on that yet. Picture posted from zac brown concert shows it kinda.
4. Porter has had a great week at school with no torturing other children. And he usually announces to his teacher that he is going to be sweet today and also may throw in a classmate that he will be nice to as well.
5. We have purchased the kidsleep classic "alarm" clock for porter to try anything to get him to sleep a little better. Some improvement in sleep, but I'm not sure it has anything to do with the clock.

That's all I can think of that I wanted to document, and I am finally sleepy, so I'm going to bed.

New spoon

This is our spoon selection from the spoon mill (fairhope) this year.

I love it!!! It it definitely one of my favorites. They are very unique, but also great for cooking. Very functional. If you've ever used one, you would understand.

Porter + dog + bits

And if you look closely you can see dog's tag between porter's fingers.

Another arts and crafts post

I think this is the last one.
Jared's hand grenade mug. This guy doesn't have a website listed on his card.

Sea glass wine bottle stopper. We got this for our neighbors. They help us with the dog's whenever we go out of town.

More arts and crafts

We have had a great time this weekend on our little mini vacation in fairhope. We stayed at the grand hotel in point clear.
View from our balcony...

Here are some pics I got over the last 2 days.

Jared was in love with this rocking chair.

Jared and Dana.

The girls got their faces painted.

We love the model trains.

More blue ice cream.

Jared visiting the chair again.

"No cheese, mama."

I got a pottery bowl.

This guy's website:
www.stevecoburnpottery.com

A couple of other vendor websites:
www.stevewhiteimages.com---we bought a print on canvas from him last year, but didn't get anything this year.
www.bellaglassarts.etsy.com---really liked their stuff.
There are still two websites I need to post. The toy guy and the sea glass lady. This is more a reminder for me than anything....

Ok, let me explain last post

This weekend is the annual fairhope arts and crafts fair. This is our 7th year. We have vendors that we visit every year, and we look forward to this event every year. Most of the artwork in our house has come from here. One of our favorites is Ginger Woechan, but last year was the first time we bought from her. We get spoons from the spoon man every year, I get a glass bead necklace every year, and we have bought woodwork every year in the past, but our woodworking man retired.
Here are three of the vendors websites:
ginwoeart.blogspot.com
www.spoonmill.com
www.bungoglass.com
We got porter a toy airplane this year, and that "artist" has a website too, but porter has the airplane and he is at his nannie and poppie's for the night. Because...
We are going to see zac brown band at the wharf tonight!! And we have an afternoon to ourselves. Fun!
I will try to post more pics of all our finds. The painting we got this year is in the post below. It's for porter's room. And for those not familiar, it is a painting of middle bay lighthouse in mobile bay. It is a pretty historic landmark, and has been standing since 1885. Read more on the history here.
Here is a pic of the glass bead necklace I got this year.
