Friday night--the real party

Thursday was our official graduation, but Friday night was the official party. Everyone was invited. We had a great time. Jared and I planned on having fun, but not staying out too late. It was midnight before I knew it! I got pictures with several of the hospital staff that came, but didn't get to everyone.
Kelly is now a nursing instructor, but when I first started, she was a nurse in the SICU. She has also been dating Travis for 3 1/2 years. We keep hounding him about a ring!!!

Veronica is a Recovery Room nurse.

Ms Holloway has been in nursing for over 50 years!!! She had her 50 year anniversary a couple of years ago. She works in the SICU.

Ms Gloria is one of the SICU nurses.

Dr Gonzalez is one of the trauma attendings. My have we had some stressful moments in the last 5 years.... Super to work with, and even more fun to party with.

Dale Jr was our speaker.... Just kidding. One of my classmates looks like him.

Dr Dyess is one of my attendings. When I think Porter is a challenge, I remember that she has 6 kids!!! 5 boys and 1 girl, and the last 4 are quads!!!

Tam and I. We worked together a lot this year and became great friends! I'm really gonna miss this girl (and her husband Jack, who is also a resident--they are both 2nd years).

Home from chief's dinner

It's been a good time and a late night. I was pretty rushed leaving the salon to get home and finish getting ready, so I didn't get any more pictures. I have lots of pictures from the actual event though. They will be posted tomorrow since it's 11:30 now and porter will be bright eyed and bushy tailed at 6:00am sharp!!!

Let the primping begin!!

I know that those of you who know me are wondering who is primping, but for once it is me! I am getting a pedicure, leaving here to get my hair cut, highlighted and styled, and then going home for makeup and getting dressed.. This chief's dinner thing is a pretty big deal.
I just hope I make it through getting porter fed and bathed without messing it all up. I will have my camera and hope to have lots of pictures, as it will be the last time I see my classmates for a while, and maybe even ever!

Chief's dinner

Tonight is our official graduation, even though I'm not officially graduating. Everybody else is done, but I've got 3 weeks left to make up for maternity leave.
