OMG!!! I just realized my blog app will let me post videos!!! I will be using this. I take little snip-it's all the time but didn't want to have to go through all the trouble of syncing my phone to post them. This is dangerous.
Here is one from earlier his week.... He found a knit hat that one of the volunteers at sacred heart made for him. He wanted to be able to put it on himself.

Meal watch
Still not eating well. Porter ate nothing for breakfast or lunch yesterday, and for supper he had... Drum roll please... 8 cheezits. Cheezits again for breakfat this morning, but not eight. He did drink a little milk though.
We are thinking it may be teething again?? His gums are a little red where his canines will be, and we don't really have any other explanation.
I guess for now we'll be living on juice.

Wild beast, Hunger strike, build a bear, eastern shore fountains, and mother's day suprise
Porter is going through a phase. Hopefully. He seems way more active than usual (I didn't think it was possible), and has decided that eating is just not his thing. He has even quit drinking milk! He loves milk. Maybe it's just that he has really figured out what no can do for him (or not do for him depending on the situation amd who it is coming from) or just one of those stages. We are going to look for a liquid vitamin, since it's very hit or miss whether he will chew anything.
To combat the problem porter has with trying to tear my house apart, we've been taking more trips to the fountains at the eastern shore center (esc). He is really getting into it more and has been brave enough to run through the water. Earlier this week we took an impromptu trip and I didn't take swim diapers, so after a little while, he was dragging a very soggy diaper. I thought about it for a minute, and there weren't very many people, so I just took his diaper off and let him run around "neked." I changed my mind about that quickly when he went over to one of the spouts that barely had any water coming out of it, bent over, and put his mouth on it. Butt straight up in the air, and little boy junk hanging down. We just went through several diapers after that. :)
Same trip--we went to build a bear. This is not his first bear, but the first time he was able to participate. I picked several very fuzzy animals, which is important, and let him choose. I think he liked the dog, so that's what we got. He really liked watching the stuffing blow around in the machine, and briefly helped fill his bear. He was able to give the little heart a kiss before he put it in the bear. He was good at that part because he likes to put things in the garbage and I like to let him practice that skill. ..."put it in and close the lid." He understands that one. His puppy dog had become one of the fuzzies in his bed that he rubs his face with at night.

Lastly, I am about to bust (yes bust--not burst) to tell what I have done for the mothers, grandmothers, and great grands in my life. Sunday can't come fast enough. I'll be able to post more then. Until then, I'll just tell everybody I see that has no connection to the ones it's for.

Week in review
Sunday--Porter has not been feeling well or eating well. Strangely enough, he's been sleeping well, but coughing all night long. He took a long nap this morning, a short nap this afternoon, and then fell asleep on the way to Mexican night. He did ok at the Mexican restaurant until the end, and ya gotta do what ya gotta do.... He has thoroughly enjoyed his grape blowpop.
(Wrong end, buddy.)

Saturday--we went to the beach, and it was a good time, but the weather was pretty crappy. It was windy and cloudy, the water was ugly and had a lot of foamy stuff washing up (no oil), and it was kinda chilly. We still got some sun on our pasty bodies (high on my priority list this summer) and made the best of it. No pictures this time though. It was hard enough trying to keep everything from blowing away and keep Porter from being swept out to sea--he still loves the water.
Monday--Friday--we have had a fairly normal week. I am thoroughly enjoying being back on days and getting to do normal mommy things at night. Some people really take all the reular mundane things for granted, but I enjoy every minute of it. I would rock him to sleep every night if he would let me, but he's getting to be too big for that apparently, because most nights he just points to his bed.
He ate good all week, and is still loving his green beans. This week we tried corn and sweet potatoes again and they just ended up on the floor. And in one fit of throwing food some bluberry applesauce ended up on the ceiling. We noticed that this afternoon. And I am again eating words--I swore I would never have hamburger helper again when moved out on my own, but this week we got excited when publix had them buy one get one free. It's quick and easy, and Porter eats them all. Not what I always envisioned my child eating for dinner, but at least he is usually eating it, and at a decent hour.

I think I have scrubbed the purple glaze from my little boy and the handprints from the side of the tub. We have a new dose of tylenol on board, plans in place for making a doctor visit tomorrow, and daddy is on an ice cream run. Settling in for the evening....

Don't feel good
We are at mcdonald's trying to get porter to eat and to get a change if scenery. Porter has a nasty cough and snotty nose, so nothing in our house has been appetizing.

He did eat a few fries and drank apple juice (full strength juice is a treat too), but that's it.
