We have always treasured every minute we have with Porter, but it can be so easy to forget what a tremendous gift from God he is and to remember that he is ultimately God's to have. It's our job to help him realize his full potential as God has for him. We should never ever take for granted that we have been blessed with a healthy, perfect little boy, and that God could want him back at any moment.
On a lighter note, he has started saying ga-ga. That's all he can say right now, and in response to everything. He has a baby einstein dvd that is "Baby's first Sounds" that goes through all the little sounds. When the video says d- d- dog, Porter says ga-ga-ga. He also makes a scream/growl type noise that he is quite proud of--he keeps getting louder and louder. Here is a little video that demonstrates his new skills.
Its hard work bench pressing a stuffed monkey - I think he's grunting from the muscle exertion:)
ReplyDeleteYou are right- you have to celebrate something every day even if it seems challenging. Before you know it he'll be saying "ma ma" and "da da" and it'll be the best thing you've ever heard.
