The playground

There is a really great playground near our house that we have been to a couple of times. Porter can walk better every time we go, and he LOVES to slide ("syide").


































Jared didn't think he could do the big slide at first, but I convinced him to let porter try it. He's not scared of anything.
It was hard to get good pictures because it was in the shade.

Pizza!!!

We are visiting our favorite pizza place in Daphne. We haven't been in a really long time. Really. Like since before Porter was born. If you're a mom of a toddler, here is one of our favorite restaurant toys.

Mobile Boat Show

We went to the boat show at the civic center today. We missed seeing twiggy the waterskiing squirrel, but Porter did get to visit the touch tank and see sting rays, flounder, hermit crabs, shrimp, sponges, and sea robins.


















And he splashed a little. Poor fish.

Sleeping so good

Porter has gotten to where he falls asleep almost every morning on the way to daycare. Before the tubes, I thought it was just because he wasn't sleeping very well at night, but he has been sleeping much better this week (Thank God!!!). This morning he fell asleep before we made it out of the neighborhood. He started to have his little fit of laying on the floor crying when I put him down at daycare, but Ms Linda shook her cup of M&Ms that she was handing out and he dried it up pretty quick. Ella squatted down beside him and held out her hand to help him up--so cute how they love each other. He sat up and pointed at the cup of M&Ms, clapped his hands and then held out his hand to get one. She coaxed him to stand up (which he can do, but it's like walking---he chooses not to), but he just repeated the pointing, clapping, and holding out his hand. His whole class had little blue mouths from the blue M&Ms, and poor Ms Linda had 4 little ankle bracelets hanging off of her when I left.

Done!

Tubes are in. He did great. We are still waiting to go back and see him. Dr Norris said he did have a lot of mucoid fluid behind his ears and he should be much better now. This has been quicker than the doctor's visit last week! Hopefully we will be headed back to see him and on our way home soon.

Waiting on tubes

We are at Thomas medical center waiting to be called back.












As you can see, he is walking, but still not full-time. He is not quite the crawling one day and walking the next. He likes to ease into things like that obviously.

ENT appointment

Waiting for Porter's hearing test.....



He did good and only has mild problems with hearing from the fluid behind his ears. It should be fine once the fluid is gone.
After 2 hours in this office, this is what happens.









Porter gets tubes next Tuesday!!! He has to get back on antibiotics until then so he doesn't get another infection from the fluid that's already there.

Fun toy???

Yesterday morning I was trying to get some laundry done, and had a little helper.












He really enjoyed being in the washer more than he enjoyed being in the dryer. He had a fit every time I got him out.
