Absolutely wonderful afternoon

This morning neither of us was feeling well. Since we had to work, he went to school anyway. I was worried about him, but hadn't heard from the daycare, so I rested at work until after his naptime, and went to pick him up. Much to my surprise, he'd had a great day. The only comment I got was that he had been a little motor mouth. So after we left I decided to go ahead and make a trip to jc Penney to look for new bedding for our guest room. I did a no-no and let him run around the store for a little while. He had the best time running throught he aisles and would squeal every time he would see me at the othe end.
After we got home, we had a Popsicle with no meltdown. I even taught him how to drink the juice at the bottom and then we both threw our plastic in the garbage, which he loves to do. We read, played in the rain, blew bubbles, and cooked supper. He ate good and handed me his plate when he was finished. Notice in the video below that utensils are still a work in progress, but getting much better.

He really has been a little motor mouth this afternoon too. He read to me sitting in his chair and it was hilarious. I was totally surpised at how much of his books he really knew. He could make the sounds in "Mr Brown can moo" and knew the animal noises in "polar bear, polar bear." And he definitely knows his abc's.

This is just the hilarious nutty behavior that has made today great.
